On February 23, a premium hotel Radisson Blu Kyiv arranged a garage party on the occasion of installing an electric vehicle fast charging station in hotel’s parking just several weeks before. Thanks to efforts of Olexandra Brovko, a PR-manager of Radisson Blu Kyiv, and the staff of the hotel, operators of the electric mobility market, professionals from innovative and technological, financial and investment sectors, experts, and journalists had a chance to meet and communicate in a casual atmosphere, share thoughts, and shape a vision of the e-mobility industry in Ukraine.
A formal part of the event consisted of speeches of Claude Bulté, a General Manager & a District Director of Radisson Blu Ukraine & Georgia, Fredrik Arthur, a Counsellor and a Deputy Head of Mission of Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine, Oleksandr Tymofeiev, a CEO at AWT Bavaria, an official importer of BMW in Ukraine, Olena Kvachevska, a Project Manager of Oxy Taxi, Oxygen Group, and Nazar Shymone-Davyda, a Founder of Tesla Club Ukraine. The speakers expressed their vision of the development and a current state of the e-mobility industry in Ukraine and shared their opinions concerning the future of electromobility in the country.
Besides, Radisson Blu Kyiv organized an exhibition of the most prominent and best-selling models of electric cars such as Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model S, BMW i8 and i3, Renault Zoe, and Smart Fortwo Electric Drive.
During the event, the charging station was being tested, and e-cars were charging. Installing the charger, Radisson Blu Kyiv has shown a good example of responsible business that is company’s corporate ethics. Thinking about its employees and guests, Radisson Blu, according to Claude Bulté, also thinks about the environment and the impact people have on it. Now there is a new place in Kyiv where an electric vehicle can be charged, and it is convenient for drivers and safe for the planet.
As Claude Bulté announced, any e-car would be able to use the hotel’s EV charger for free up to September 2017.
